Project:Landslip in Ilya Avenue, Bayview NSW

As a result of heavy rainfall and a burst water pipe, serious landsliding took place on a steep hillside in Bayview NSW. The landslide undermined the footings of one house and the earthflow partly engulfed the lower pole frame house.
Shirley Consulting Engineers were engaged to determine the cause of the landslide, design appropriate remedial measures and subsequently to inspect and advise during the construction works.
The project was complicated because of the various legal issues and boundary disputes related to the landslide works, but by extensive mediation between the parties, the project was brought to completion to the benefit of all.
